Nicky for the win.

2:08:58 is my prediction for Nick this weekend in San Diego. He ran 2:13 last November on a difficult New York course. I believe that was worth about a 2:11 on an easier course. He has now moved to Flagstaff and has the benefits of altitude training which I believe is worth another minute or 2, and puts him in the 2:O9 range. Plus Nick seems to improve everytime out which is worth another 30 seconds or so. I believe he will be the next great American marathoner.

Well, I can say you probably shouldn't be a weatherman.

Come on guys, how about giving Nick his dues? Nick ran a hell of a race and has a 2 minute PR to show for it. This thread should be about that and nothing else.

Great job Nick.

I can remember when Nick was not much beyond a scrub (and he would quickly admit as much) but he kept persevering and pounding it out...and viola, look at what hard work and persistence gets ya....well, well done Nick, it's so cool to see someone go from having trouble breaking 30min...to knocking on the door of 2:0something...truly inspiring. with an attitude like that, a 2:0whatever becomes a real possibility, not just a pipe dream.
