What gives? Great XC, great indoor, bombing outdoors. Ouch.

Over training CHOKERS.
They lost the runner up in the 10k from last (Medigovich) and the two time runner up and 5th last year in cross in Aaron Braun (even though he didn't run the 10k on the track, he was a big contributor to cross), both of whom were there in cross. Mwei, the cross national champ, is not running the 10k at nats but the steeple and 5k. Gauthier, their fifth scorer from cross, ran the mile in indoors and has not run outdoors, presumably he is hurt do to the long, brutal indoor season.
Craig (Adam's fourth man in cross), who was the only point scorer for Adams in the 10k this year, had the top time coming in to the meet but bombed. They probably should have had more points especially with both Craig and Cruz (who should have been on their nats team, but wasn't) in the race, but both did not run well, hopefully they can run better in the 5k tonight and tomorrow.
They've already begun summer base phase in preparation for Dellinger meet in fall 2010.
who is adam state? congrats to his 2 points!
Its Cragg not Craig.. can you not read?
They didn't run that well but its hard to prepare for brutally hot and humid conditions in Alamosa! With only two entries in the mens 10k for Adams State how many points were you expecting?

How do you figure that? If I remember rightly he was 8th man and thats why he wasn't on the team. ASC scored 23 points at nationals and put their scoring 5 in the top 11.. is that not good enough for you?
You do realise how bad the conditions were right? The D1 east regional was held 45 mins up the road in Greensboro and 1/3 of the field in the 10k dropped out, no wonder the Africans cleaned up at D2 nats.

Awww get real real is jealous of Adams State! Awwwwwwww
the conditions were not that bad. the humidity was 44% at start time--maybe more than the colorado kids are used to, but not half as bad as it typically is this time of year in charlotte. not windy either. as far as the weather goes, the 10kers lucked out.
+1, also a charlottean
I didn't say top 5, but that Cruz should have been on their national's team, which is 7 guys. I think that he would have been their 6th guy at nationals. Also I think that he should have been on their nationals team because he was consistent 5/6 guy on their team until regionals where he was beat by Craig and Sellers, which moved Cruz to 8th on the team. Both Craig and Sellers ran in the open race which was set up as a time trial type race, while the team race was more of a tactical race and went out slower and the real racing didn't start until the later stages of the race.
Are you joking me? The D1 regional meet a few miles away was put on hold for 45 mins because it was so humid!
The guys in the regional race knew the times the guys in the open race had ran going into it so they can only blame themselves for allowing it to be slow. Cruz finished with Ahonan from western at the regional meet who went on to finish in the 30's at nationals. ASC's last man was Mcniff in 27th. The right team went to the big dance.
oh and you would have done better?
Yeah but he also finished with Kazingo who went on to place 8th at nationals! so you can't determine if he should have or shouldn't have been there by who he finished with the week before!

Of course he could. Get real real = AJ Acosta!
It was warm but not humid. There was even a decent breeze.

Dang, did everybody get this breeze? I didn't feel one. We should re-run the race if other athletes got this breeze you speak of.
