why not both? Throw some epsom salt in the ice bath and live it up!
I love an epson salt bath! Try a warm epson salt bath and then rinse off with cool water.
Has Epsom salt been shown to do anything therapeutic? I don't think it's absorbed or wouldn't you get a benefit by swimming in the ocean?
inquiring minds want to know.
It'll flush out the toxins.
Perhaps a stupid question but what's the difference between epsom salt and salt? What is epsom salt?
Like everybody else here, I dcon't know what I'm talking about. But it seems like ice baths are the rage in running and epsom salts were the rage for my parents...
I have always heard it is better to ice then heat.

I once took an epsom salt bath and got the salt solution into my urethra (seriously). That was a horrible experience. Be careful.
yeah, the salt would just sit there on your skin. I dont think epsom salt is good for anything except constipation.

...and just how does it do this? what are these "toxins".
did an epsom salt company come out with this claim?
wouldacoulda: yeah, the salt would just sit there on your skin.
Just like nicotine and testosterone patches just sit on your skin, and topical analgesics just sit on your skin? I'm no epson salt guru but am aware that the skin isn't the impermeable barrier you think it is.
Do you not think that toxins are harbored inside our bodies?

What are toxins? The only time i hear this term is in the context of massage therapy and pseudoscience. What is the definition of a toxin?
A harmful particle/molecule inside one's body.
is there proof that toxins really exist? if so, then why aren't people who don't have massages and bathe in epsom salts dropping like flies?
Your skin keeps out salts.. Otherwise your blood would change tonicity too easily.
