Don't twist your skivvies too much. He only (initially) objected to the word "INSANE". Stick by it! Last year was already insane, and the top 10 only managed a 9.86! Or find another word, like addled, or crazy, or outrageous, or amazing, or blistering.
And, if 10th was 9.86 last year, but becomes 9.79 this year, you know....0.07sec faster, that's kind of special isn't it? You will find a way to twist this again.[/quote] |

Actually 2008 was the best year on record for 100m with 9.83 for the 10th (and 11th) fastest performances. A possible drop to 9.79 would be a 0.4% improvement. Not special (or insane) in my opinion. That's not twisted; just the facts. Do your homework. |

Yes, I know Wariner does some 200's. But he doesn't train for them, obviously. And he runs low 20., with absolutely no start! Hey, maybe Spearmon should run some 400's with Wariner! I'd still like to see Wariner train for, and run, the 200. Powell, also. I know why some guys don't like the 200--the curve can be weird, and if you're not used to it, you can hurt yourself running it. Not worth it, unless you know what you're doing and you have a good lane draw. |

Leading the way! ha! Bolt is in a class of his own. Leading the 100 meter world time by more than .1 of a second is more than leading the way. If Bolt has an off year then maybe. |
