Seeing how I have had the chance to watch this young lady train, I'll give my 2 cents:1) Her coach is young- under 30 and a woman, so superstition based training is out. She has good form and obviously done a lot of drills. Most 'traditional' coaches here just make everyone run... a lot...2) This girl just showed up for practice one day in middle school and said she wanted to run- no one pushed her.3) strong ankles= forefoot runner--> blame the reporter, not the coach for the poor translation from Korean to English.4) She doesn't do crazy workouts from what I have seen- lots of rhythm work, longer intervals. She trains alone, but never leaves it on the track.5) A coachin friend of mine here saw the rce and she went ran 3:07 kms the whole way...oh and it's annyongheekasaeyo over here, not sayonara

Easy prediction here.
Overwhelming pressure + culture with pathological fear of failure + superstition-based coaching (speed due to "strong ankles"??) = Sayonara.
I'll bet you a bowl of kim chee this is the first and last we ever hear of the poor girl.
