I think he made a good choice as it is pretty unsettled in Eugene right now with clouds and gusty winds. I'm headed over to Hayward in a few hours to see Wheating/Emanual/Centro battle it out in the 1500 meters- have no idea who will win

Galen Rupp will run his 10k tomorrow at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational
[Posted by Ken Goe, The Oregonian April 30, 2010, 12:06 PM]
I just got off phone with Oregon Track Club Elite/Portland coach Alberto Salazar, who was at Portland International Airport with Galen Rupp, preparing to board a plane to the Bay Area.
Rupp will take his shot at the U.S. record in the 10,000 meters tomorrow night at Stanford in the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational.
Rupp had hoped to make his attempt at the Oregon Relays, but he and Salazar were leery of dropping temperatures and rising winds at Hayward Field tonight and tomorrow.
Salazar also was concerned with pollen in the air in and around the Stanford campus. But he talked with a Stanford researcher, who assured him that even if the pollen count was high during the day, the pollen would fall to the ground as temperatures dropped in the evening.
"We have to go somewhere," Salazar said. "All we can do is look at the variables and make best guess one way or another."
The U.S. record of 27 minutes 13.98 seconds has been held since 2001 by Meb Keflezighi. Rupps's personal record is 27:33.58.
Why isn't Ari Lambie running ?
Is Bairu in it?
So ? They all look alike to you and to me.
Aren't tickets like super expensive when you wait to the last minute? Sheez
It was preapproved by Beijing.
Even the Stanford weather gets "Rupp" certified.
