BOth races are now over. It looks like Erkesso is going to hang on as she's resurgent in the last mile. THey were focused on that and of course missed CHeruiyot breaking Merga 1:53 into the men's race. Merga has given up and is looking back to see how close 3rd place is to him. Remember Merga's quote if he's not top 3, he DNFs. Erkesso is 14 seconds up with 600 to go bu she is rolling. Come on Erkesso. |

You almost spoke too soon on the women's race. I have no idea on the men's race as they haven't showed it in 5 minutes and employee #1 has gone to the finish so his updates have stopped for a while. |

Wow I almost spoke to soon. I said someoen could easily make up 10 seconds in the last .2 of a mile and that's almsot what happened. The russian got within in about 3 seconds. He was probably down close to 15 with .2 to go. Erkesso barely wins!!!! Now that was exciting. I'm glad they showed that finally. |
