Why are we having to struggle just to find a "channel" to watch one of the worlds premier marathons ? Never had this problem with golf or tennis ? When do we get ( Mr. Logan ) management into place that understand the big picture and understand the importance of visibility for a event like this beyond the brethren here at Lets Run.

The race is on universalsports.com if you pay the $4.95. There is no debate on where to get it. The debate is on whether to pay for it.
does anyone have a plug in that they can just put into windows media player? I remember i did this last year and it worked.

Pretty sure it will be in Boston again this year.
Oh I see.
Well it's 7:35 here, so it should be starting in 2 hours.
Hall is out in front, Jesus is blocking the wind for him!

$4.95 is one thing. Can I watch it without installing Microsoft Silverlight?
Same here.
Well I'll check back in 2 hours.

But you'll probably spend $50 to watch some boxing match because HBO tells you it's important. Plus you'll probably want to be a pro runner when you graduate from college and then complain there are no companies willing to pay you.
Yeah, because NBC sponsors soooooo many runners these days...
I don't drink coffee and all my porn is free. Boston is not important enough to make it PPV for streaming.

Man, what is with you people, you included, Rojo, complaining about a $5 fee for online webcast? First it's complaining about no World XC broadcast, then when is actually shown and they want you to pay a trivial amount for it you make it out to be something outrageous. How much do you spend on coffee a week? On porn? Complain that they won't give you what you want, then complain that they're not doing it for free when they do give it to you. Pathetic.

There are not enough expected marginal benefits to spend $4.95 on it, true. I could better spend that money elsewhere. Almost anywhere would get me greater utility. Based on previous coverage (that was free) it will be full of ads, have a couple of idiots talking at me who know less than nothing about the sport, will cut out partway through, will show the women too much, will show the masses too much, will show the finish of the wheelchair races over a major mens race development, etc etc etc.
Or maybe I don't have a way to pay for it.
Either way, not gonna happen.
Right, the production value doesn't warrant $5. Poor commentary, no insightful data graphics, etc. Do it like a Japanese marathon broadcast and it might be worth it.
Come to New Zealand get it for free, then f%*k off back home. Randomly we get Boston every year
