Thanks
all it takes is using the Google, guys. Seriously, I wonder how some people made it this far without getting hit by a car or suffocating from their pillow in their sleep.

It looks like it will be on Universal Sports if you have the channel, or broadcast online for a $4.99 charge. Wow. Why can't they just throw in some ads to pay for the coverage? They'll probably end up doing that too. Here's hoping someone is doing a live blog somewhere. (probably here)
I've just finished some research on this. The women's race starts at 9:32 am and the men's at 10:00 am.
The race is on not ESPN or ESPN2 this year.
The race can be watched live for free on tv on Universalsports which in markets with over the air is like NBC 2 or 3. If you don't have access to universalsports tv like me (because it's not on directv), you can watch watch the race online for a fee of $4.95.

Yes, that's right. They are charging $4.95 for it.
If you live in New England, you can watch the race free locally on wbztv (cbs - channel 38?) or online. But only people in New England can stream it for free at wbztv.com

I'm hoping for http://www.channelsurfing.net/ to have it. Knowing that mid-morning sports is rare, someone should be bored enough to stream it.
its on TSN in Canada at 930et
For real, $5 to watch the BM? There better be NO ads at all.

Depending on location.

Pretty sure it will be in Boston again this year.
Man, what is with you people, you included, Rojo, complaining about a $5 fee for online webcast? First it's complaining about no World XC broadcast, then when is actually shown and they want you to pay a trivial amount for it you make it out to be something outrageous. How much do you spend on coffee a week? On porn? Complain that they won't give you what you want, then complain that they're not doing it for free when they do give it to you. Pathetic.
Did anyone find a live feed for free?

Uh, zero and zero. I think you're making assumptions on most peoples lifestyles based on your own.
I'm not going to pay $5 to watch coverage that could easily be supported by ads.

So there you have it. You must not want to watch it too much. A perfectly good answer.
Is there an on-line radio feed? WBZ?
But if enough pay to watch then the race organizers might be able to attract more advertisers and get it on tv, and stream it for free.
Runners have to support running, or we will be stuck where we are at forever.
Will the universal feed for $5 work for viewers outside the US?
Stick it to the Man! (Or woman, if that's your thing.) Somebody get the feed and offer it to the rest of us with ne of those fancy slingbox deals.

OR, they realize that you are willing to pay to see it so from now on it becomes a paid event to stream.
$4.95 is one thing. Can I watch it without installing Microsoft Silverlight?

But you'll probably spend $50 to watch some boxing match because HBO tells you it's important. Plus you'll probably want to be a pro runner when you graduate from college and then complain there are no companies willing to pay you.
I want to pay and see it, but at http://www.universalsports.com/premium/ there is nothing at the moment, all I get is the message "there is no product matches at this time. please check back later", isn't it supposed to start 9:30? It is 9:28 now... also do you know that if I pay, will I get a password or something or I will be forced to see it on one PC? because I am at the office now but want to see the last half hour or so at home.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
