Girl told me that because she weighs more than me (140lbs) I'm too small for her,must not understand that I am a runner?

Think of being thin as an asset. Never view your physical self negatively. If a woman isn't into you don't waste a second thinking about it. It's how you come across that is probably the most important thing.

Also women are strange, many women may initially think a guy isn't all that hot but there's something about him that intrigues them---confidence, charm, intelligence, some interesting life experience, whatever. It makes them want to know more. Most women get over the looks part faster than men do.

Oh Rick......she really doesn't care if you are scrawny....she was just being polite. She isn't interested in you because of some other flaw that you have....but didn't want to hurt your feelings, so she picked something that you won't do anything about. On the other hand, women really do not care for guys who are totally obsessed with their scrawny bodies...it is not attractive.

Yes haha YO (super serial) my ex girlfriend was 180 lbs and I was 140 lbs. I'm not really sure what happened here because you haven't provided us with enough details. My guess is she really self consience about her weight. Most girls want someone who weighs more than them because it makes them feel less. You can either a. gain some weight, and I mean like 15 pounds and see what happens. Or b. get yourself a lot of confidence and flirt with other girls around her.

If she actually liked you then your weight wouldnt matter (to an extent...I would NEVER date a fat guy if my life dewpended on it).

She was being NICE. We girls do that. I don't know how many times I played a "im not looking for a boyfriend" or "im just too busy I dont have time but I do like you" card.

Theres plenty of women on the market that are under 95lbs, I'd recommend that route.

be straight for once and you won't have men hanging around you like puppy dogs hoping you'll reconsider.

Why does everyone keep saying that she was just trying to be kind because she was not into him. Did you read the original post? The "advice" was unsolicited and not related to his desire to date her.

140 is not a porker. 190+ is porker range.

The Latin girl didn't want to deal with the hassle of having to eventually reject the OP's advances. She knew the OP was attracted to her- probably also knew that the girl from India was attracted to him. Who knows- maybe the Latin girl and the girl from India are/were friends. She probably wanted to do the other girl a favor and get the OP off her case.

What makes you think that she doesn't understand? If a woman chooses to be fat because she's training to swim the English Channel, that doesn't make her any more attractive to me. I'm simply not generally attracted to fat women, regardlesss of their reasons for being fat.

Kelsey is wrong, by the way. The latina woman wasn't "just being nice." She was being honest. She was letting you know that, insofar as you choose to be "somewhat light," your choice may have social or sexual consequences that you may not like.

In my running prime, I was taller and lighter than you are. Some women -- in fact, many women -- are going to be turned off by that body type. You can say that their preferences arise out of misunderstandings, bad cultural biases, issues about their own bodies, or even a desire to find men who look like their fat fathers, but that doesn't change their preferences. Now, some of those women may also find you more appealing after they get to know you better, but body type may still be a deal-breaker for many.

Actually, not necessarily true.

Distance runners who appear gaunt - or men who are slim in general - tend to cause a woman who is already sensitive about carrying some fat layers to feel more insecure about herself.

This is a little like men not wanting to date women taller than them, or average men not wanting to date female body builders. It's too far off the "norm." Some people don't feel trapped by the status quo. Date them.

You misunderstood the meaning of "too small."
