For those following along at home, the three Kenyans Kipruto, Mutai and Makau are running in a line abreast with Ethiopian Lelisa cruising a stride behind as they approach 40 km. Low 2:05 pace. And now back to our story....

Makau is up with Mutai, Kipruto 5m behind. It's the two Adidas runners over the two Nike runners.
