Bairu was over a minute ahead of the first USA runner, I know Ritzenslime wasn't running but Simon would have kick his ass as well.
GO CANADA, soon we we own the USA or at the very least our dollar will be much more than yours

As a Canadian I would like to say great job to Simon, this is a great result for our country. I would also like to apologize for runner39, his post is pretty stupid.
So you're a total douchebag. Okay, thanks for clearing that up.
And to own the USA you have to get an African Import. At least we have legit American born runners like German, Derrick, Rupp, Ritz, etc...
Canada's Ahmed also in ahead of USA's Dunbar by 7 seconds in Junior race! Amazing really when you think about Canada being just 1/10 the size of USA. Good thing Schaaf didn't run as well!!

come on americano's don't cry, although Bairu is from Canada he trains with the Nike crew in Oregon so he is probably more american than us Canadians would like, you could probably adopt him, all in fun commrades

oh ya, Lagat ring a bell
Ontario my man. Please don't make another USA vs. Ontario thread, they are useless and dumb. The USA is a great country, Canada is a great country. Let's maybe just talk about how we are both way better than Iran. Iran, now that is a lame country eh?

I'm sure Patrick Smyth is at this moment thinking, "Fiddlesticks, If I hadn't embarrassed by that Canadian guy, I would have finished 35th."
Congrats to Simon on a fine race. Too bad we didn't get the chance to see how he stacked up against Ritz at this time. I can see that going either way.
see this is why people think the vast majority of americans are stupid, because they make comments like this.
lagat, abdi, meb and lomong. hmmmmmm.........why would i list them for. IDIOT

I'm a Smyth fan but let's be serious he light years away from Bairu
There are no lame countries. Only lame citizens like yourself.
At least Iraq managed to field s full SR men's team, unlike Canada.
do you think? wrote:

While he may be an idiot, you aren't helping your own case for not being one.
He said you needed an import to beat the US, us having our own doesn't mean we need them to beat Canada. You failed on your logic there.
Bairu's talent was developed in Wisconsin
Speaking as an American runner, I have to agree that I am embarrassed by Canadian Simon Bairu. Fortunately he has a great group of Americans to train with, if he had to train with only his fellow Canadians then he'd probably be far worse.
Simon is a great runner.
Proud to have him wearing the Maple Leaf.
Class act.

Iran - now that's a country we can agree to hate on. Very well done my maple-leafed friend.
Simon is part of Jerry's Nike group in Portland with Tegencamp, Solinsky and Jager.
Mo is a freshmen at the University of Wisconsin.
Both are products of the NCAA system. Canadians excelling in the NCAA and not the CIS
