For the win!
For the win!
Not to mention she led most the damn thing
like I said, if you have runners with equal times, one from D1 and one from D2, bank on the D2 runner (obviously less developed at that point) to improve more.
results or video? thanks
Lisa Koll ran faster indoors.
Great run!!!
Pix?
Ler.
Great follow-up on an impressive indoor campaign. Nice to see her finally notch a fast 5k.
A 2:05/4:10/15:30 season to come???
Koll ran faster pace for the 10k.
D2 is better at development for long term than D1. No over racing.
Dont believe me? Deal with me in person
Here is the race video - http://www.runnerspace.com/eprofile.php?do=videos&event_id=57&video_id=22799
Definitely not anorexic as a collegiate runner. The next Shalane Flanagan? Talented but not overly skinny in college, then a trim badass later in life?
Put the bloody time up. I know I could look it up but my interest has already gone
Jessica Pixler Seattle Pacific 15:44.07
Great time for a collegian, but not in the same class as Lisa's (obviously, since Lisa's average was better). 31:18 = 2 x 15:39. Also 31:18 ~ 14:5x
Jessica ran super. Be happy for her. But stop the over hype - it seldom helps but often hurts an athlete.
Over-hype? Not sure about that one. Pixler is VERY good...has gotten progressively better year over year, as has her teammate Jane Larson. There is great coaching at Seattle Pacific...very good at peaking when it counts, so I would expect bigger and better things from Jessica. That's not over-hype...that's just looking at things practically. From my perspective, it's too bad Neeley Spence (D2 Shippensburg) wasn't in that race as well...I think she's in similar shape.
