    Looking at the results above from Mardi Gras Half Marathon in New Orleans, it is easy to understand why some great results was not that well noticed. From what I can remember, Shadrack Kiptoo Biwott's best in half marathon was 1:06. For him to finish just 7 seconds behind world record holder is really amazing. Looks like he is headed to stardom like his bro. Duncan Kibet. Well done "Shadu".

    Shadrack has always been a top tier talent. The last 5 years have been stagnant, with occasional bursts of brilliance. His 3 victories in in January were impressive, but today's 1/2 marathon easily trumps every pr. Nice job Shaddy!

    Its nice to see that you guys as well as the whole Letsrun.com family love this kid-well he is not a kid anymore(definitely that time makes him a man!). The story on the front page is inspiring and should serve as an encouragement to the rest of Kenyan college graduates whose running careers seems to dwindle soonest they are done with college.

    Yes, it was. He went out with the leaders for the first few miles and hung tough. Very impressive.

    And no, the course wasn't short. It's entirely flat, the weather was perfect, and the competition up front was excellent.
