I've been experiencing sharp pain shooting through my lower leg several times a day. As I continue to run more, I've noticed the frequency of the pain has gone from a couple times a week to a couple times a day. It's difficult to pinpoint exactly where the pain is, but it seems to start somewhere slightly above my ankle/lower shin up to my knee. The episodes last about 10 seconds with incredibly, intense pain.
Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this and, if so, any idea what it is and what can be done as prevention?
