Was Harry Jerome UTEP?
On July 15, 1960, I was sitting on the grass infield at the Canadian Olympic Trials 100 meters final when a teenager named Harry Jerome tied the pending World Record. The offical time was 10 flat. He was very far ahead of second place. There were people around me who had 9.9 on their watches. Harry Jerome then became one of the "Men of Oregon".
