Nice interview and very insightful. Amazing that she was able to transition from an 800 meter runner who was quite fast into a marathoner who excelled.

Good interview, but the other guy was right about the site. I know what size I want my browser window and I will resize if necessary. I don't need the web site to "help" me resize it.

One other thing, I've read ‘On The Wings of Mercury,’ well over a year ago, so it must have been published before 2009.

Too bad the site is so screwed up. It looked like there might be a bunch of good interviews there, and maybe some good videos, but having my browser resize every time I clicked anywhere made me reluctant to explore further.

Reminded me of telemarketers--do they really think they make me more likely to buy from them by annoying me? Do you really think I want my browser resized and don't know how to do it?

On topic, if I might: an editorial comment or two about the Moller book. For the most part it was a revealing read and well written. However, 2 things nagged at me. One, one of Lorraine's close male friends was referred to anonymously. A writing friend said he didn't have a problem w/that style but I sure do. I suspect there was some 'arrangement' between the Kiwi superstar & Mr Anonymous to hide his ID but I fail to understand why or what was gained. Second - Lorraine crucified her old coach, a man long dead. That bothers me. She never would've done that if the man were still alive.

I'd be interested to hear LM's take on these matters.

Sounds like she could have won the Gold at Barcelona but held back because of the heat. Good article.

Not to take away from Gary's, as he did a nice job, as per usual I reviewed her book and interviewed her as well, which may provide other insight into her life and memoirs. It would help to read all three articles and the book....

Will have to se what my web guy can do to link directly to the interviews... I realize this needs to happen... funds are limited though in these economic times... I don't get paid anything for the time to research, develop questions, phone interview, transcribing, editing, formatting to notepad, uploading and praying there isn't an error somewhere.
