track and field app for iphone 1/4/2010 9:38AM Reply | Return to Index | Report Post
Does anyone know of a helpful app for track and field for your iphone? I'm thinking maybe a stop-watch type app that lets you take splits for multiple athletes, tells you their pace etc. It seems like it'd be pretty practical. I don't possess the programming knowledge to make it though.

Something that does metric conversions and stores performances would also be helpful.

it's called ucoach
You can time multiple individuals in an event, then email them their splits.

I recently downloaded the App. "Track and Field". It is pretty ideal for being at track meets. I am a coach and i can put all my athletes times in for the track meet instead of having a clipboard to write stuff down and having my papers flying away. Even athletes are able to use it. It has enough space for some athletes to have all their times of every meet on the app for the year. I recommend just putting the splits in the notes(easier for me to look at). It has the conversion charts you are talking about on it so if you are doing high school or college, you can put whatever down. I saw it is a new app that just came out and it is fairly simple and no app like it. I would say its an application worth buying as a coach or an athlete.
Thanks i-creator.

Thanks! I have been looking for something like this forever I couldn't believe there were no apple apps for track meet times.

I Purchased "Track and Field" from the app store last night and it seems pretty legit so far. Has all the events (indoor, outdoor, mens, womens, etc..).I guess you can keep times and scores for whole seasons and careers which is cool. The interface is easy to use and looks pretty nice. I will give you guys an update after our next meet.
