Wow... can they come back for the win next year?

oh like I didn't know that - I am sure you are one of the global warming dupes too - what a schmuck
Thin is "in"
Plus the second fastest runner in California, Megan Morgan (ran 2 seconds faster at Woodward Park this year than Hasay did last year).
Wow, the Boerne XC Club is going to Washington!
And Manlius as well..
Only the Footlocker Nationals champion matters. The others are insignificant.

You may have missed the thread a couple weeks back about a key female part of the coaching puzzle at UW departing. It could be interesting to see how these things play out. Don't hand out the national championship trophy just yet.
Megan Goethals may yet prove to be a spectacular college runner (and I hope she does), but there's some likelihood of a serious period of adjustment when the body fills out a little. Very few women stay like that indefinitely.
I believe that was the same thread that said that none of these ladies would be coming to Washington because of the loss of Kelly Strong

Point well taken. Still, it seems plausible that Strong's departure could yet have an impact. And, NLI day is still six weeks off. We've certainly seen verbals vaporize before.
It's a fact that every kid wants to run at a PAC-10 school. UW is the best choice for kids w/o the grades for the Cali PAC-10 schools. UO is easy on the books too but to live go to school and live in Caucasoid Aboriginal campground site and methamphetamine manufacturing lab is too much for parents to bear.
Don't put UW and UO in same academic class. Not even close.
Agreed. I spent two years at each. UO was like high school in comparison to UW academically. UW was way more competitive intellectually and academically, even in liberal arts courses.
The University of Oregon is regarded as the Harvard of the Northwest. No other school in the region deserves mention.

Gotta love when the haters come out and try splash mud on what will probably be the strongest women's NCAA team ever. Some things never change...

You are lame.
I've noticed the same thing. Whenever someone brings up Oregon, the haters come aboard with their "poor academics" spiel. Fact is Oregon has some great programs and is much more atuned to student needs for the undergraduate than is Washington, and many of the Cali schools. I'll grant you that Washington has a larger, more highly funded graduate program, but that isn't really an issue for undergrad students (which most NCAA runners are). BTW, for a school with "poor academics", Oregon has certainly turned out a lot of successful and wealthy grads. And for all the giddy Washington people, watch out...you guys fell off this year, and likely will fall off even more next year....so much for "the greatest team of all time". GO 'NOVA, let's repeat.
Katie Flood committed to Washington recently.... after all of this Kelly Strong business? Or maybe Strong recruited her and she accepted but...
