I'm a junior in college and I'm thinking about transferring to a different university. I am a sociology major but haven't really done many core classes.

So your a junior, There are several factors to evaluate in making it worth it to transfer. Why do you want to leave the school your at?
How much money have spent on school so far? If your transferring for social reasons odds are your just going to have the same issues and just be in a different place. Transferring is not easy, you'll have to re-learn all the stuff you did freshman year about getting around the school your at unless you know a ton of ppl at the school your transferring to and know it uncommonly well.
Is there a huge difference academically between your current school and ones you are trying to look at.
If it's a running issue you might as well ride it out since you only have three semesters left, unless your at least a conference championship contender type.
At such a late stage your looking for big problems with lots of course potentially not carrying over, rebuilding a social life, fitting into a new program running wise etc.
If however you can find a legitimate ACADEMIC reason to leave an won't be wiped out financially it's worth a shot.
