What happened to her after her freshman season at Stanford? Now she's not even on their roster.

She transferred, at least that was the rumor earlier this season.
CAL
why did she she transfer? She seems more talented than some of the more hyped female athletes.
'cause Coe's at Berkeley.
Gosh, there would have to be more of a reason than this. I mean, what if they break up?

I know that she is at Cal, but why isn't she on their roster? Is she still running?
Man, this seems like such a stupid decision. Her parents must have been so pissed. Berkeley is less than 30 mins from Menlo Park. It seems incredibly immature to choose a guy over an education at Stanford. I have lost a little respect for her over this hormone driven decision, but whatever.
You've obviously never driven from Menlo Park to Berkeley with ANY traffic or ANY CHP on the roads!

CHP on the roads? Give me a break, everyone drives a minimum of 75 regardless. Take 880 to Dumbarton bridge, once you turn towards Palo Alto, it takes about 10 mins to get to campus; easy.

Yeah, 'cuz having a degree from Berkeley doesn't open any doors for you.
Also, it amazes me how everyone on letsrun always assumes they know the reasoning behind every decision. I don't know any more about why Laurynne made this decision than anyone else here does--and it is for exactly that reason that I don't have any opinion on her decision besides, "Man, that really sucks for Stanford."
Wow, please don't talk before you know the whole story.
Chetelat wanted to major in exercise biology (or something along the lines of that), a major that is not offered at Stanford but IS offered at Cal.
Get your facts straight before you start spouting blatant nonsense on a messageboard.
"or something along the lines of that"
sounds like you're no expert, either.

Human Biology, yes?
Yeah, HumBio. But I think there was some statement on these boards about how she thought the pressure of Stanford (and HumBio is a pretty competitive major at Stanford with all the pre-meds with classes curved hard) was contributing to her end-of-year under-performance and injury. That's only hearsay, though.
In any case, Cal will be a good academic institution - it's not Stanford, but it's not too shabby, frankly. And if it is a better environment for her, then that's what really matters. I imagine all involved understand that.
On a side note, I thought Coe was gay.
bump ... what happened to her? Is she still running? Mid 15s her freshman year in the 5k is good stuff.
I heard she just had a baby.
She's in Air Force ROTC and wants to deploy to Afghanistan upon completion at Berkeley.
Coe is now in the company ink with cal coach shayla houlihan
eh flotrack is just OK wrote:

She's the one who is going to dominate Hasay right? Can someone public ally shame all those morons?
