I'm fairly unhappy with my current running shoe (Brooks Adrenaline) but haven't found anything better. I have tried the Adidas Supernova, the Puma Cocinnity, and a few others, but still haven't found something that I am really comfortable in.
I am thinking maybe work down to a minimalist type shoe, but am afraid that the process will get me injured and am not 100% sure of what the benefit would be.
Basically, I'm totally confused as to what shoe to be wearing. There is a running store nearby (an Asics store) with a treadmill where the do a gait analysis.
But I'm afraid that it will lead me to some gimmicky type shoe that will compensate for any imbalances that I have.
No real bone issues in the past, but have suffered and continue to suffer from piriformis (hip/hamstring/butt) issues. At times it can be really bad if I don't keep up my stretching and strengthening exercises.
