What do you think? I think Tweeting is worse.

This isn't even a contest, Twitter is by far the worse one. All it is is taking Facebook and removing everything except the dumbest part, the status updates. Twitter is just Facebook Status Updates.
Other than the status updates (I don't care that "Joe Smith is wondering about something . . . "), Facebook at least sometimes has interesting/useful information about people, pictures of parties (and hot girls), etc. It's a much more "useful" site (if you want to call any type of social networking site "useful").
Twitter caters to the absolute lowest common denominator. No one gives a sh*t that you're headed to the mall or that you think raspberries are superior to blackberries.

I think people misunderstand what Twitter is. Everyone uses it for something different. Yes, if you are talking about going to the mall, it's dumb. But say you are trying to start a road race, and you want to let people know. You search for people who are discussing running in your area and tell them about your race. I work in a small web design business and we have generated alot of customers via Twitter.
True.
If you use the platforms for the right reasons, they are extremely efficient and helpful. It is not different than talking. If you say stupid shit all the time, no one wants to hear your ugly voice. If you are interesting, or happen to be saying something of value, the voice is a wonderful tool.

'Likes this' thumbs up
There are two kinds of people that should use twitter:
1) people that have info that others want (tweet)
2) people that want info from others (follow)
I use twitter to get info from news, favorite athletes, info about my hobbies, etc. ---- but I don't tweet anything, nothing
The problem is that 95% of people think they fall into group 1, when only about 2% really do. Even friends REALLY don't care about all the normal everyday happenings of normal people. I know what a big cheeseburger looks like - you don't have to twitpic a picture of it to show me what you're about to eat.
Good test: would you bring this (your tweet) up in a face-to-face conversation?
Narcissist tweeter: "So, I ate this cheeseburger the other day - it was big and here's a picture of it."
Everybody in the world: "Nobody cares"

Indeed.
I never post anything on twitter. I just follow folks like Bernard Lagat and "Shit My Dad Says" among others. It's a place to find information.
I agree 100% about Twitter. It can be very useful for passing along information but gets abused by people who think they are important. It is nothing more than a mode of communication.
Let's turn this into something useful. Who are some good tweeters to follow for news and/or running?

What is more stupid: Facebook or Twitter?
It should be "which" instead of "what" here, my friend. Welcome to America.

The only people that care about grammer on internet messageboards are high horse *ssholes like yourself. Welcome to the internet.
Now, go off and tweet all your other *sshole friends (that couldn't give a crap anyways) about how our country is going down the tubes cause you just got told off about trying to correct such an elementary grammer error.
one more thing ... eat *hit
Let me guess: you are a Tweeter?
Twitter site worth - $3,167,810
Facebook site worth - $213,385,243
Even without this, Twitter. Hands down.
You have the same IP address as the original poster. How lame is it that you're using more than one name for the same thread? Also, your 3rd grade writing ability has been the same on each post. Go back to school. You certainly need it.
Also, I would like to point out that I have never tweeted in my life as I am not that important. However, I would be able to write complete sentences in the English language if I ever chose to tweet.
Very wrong. I'm the OP and I'm loving this thread. Also, you forgot a hyphen.
