So if Derrick and Chelenga go one and two, should I take German? I can't decide. He could win the damn thing or DNF. I am thinking about Ulrey or Bumbalough as alternatives.
Anyone have an opinion?

I wouldn't bet against German.
AJ Acosta or one of the Mercado twins. Ducks to quack.
I would take McNeill there. Heath and Puskedra should be lottery picks.
Don't count out Hassan Mead...the guy will be top 5 at least.
I'd probably take Hassan Mead.
what about Jeff See? he's on a roll...
I'd go with McNeil, Puskedra or Mead before German. German could win the whole thing, I know. But he might also be 35. Who knows? With the three (McNeil...) you're pretty much guaranteed top 15.
So, here are 15 guys (not including German). Put them in order. Jeff See isn't a bad choice for #3.
Can anyone imagine the #1 pick NOT going to Derrick?
Samuel Chelenga
Felix Kibioywo
David McNeill
Hasssan Mead
Dorian Ulrey
Ryan Sheridan
Chris Derrick
Jeff See
Andrew Bumbalough
Barnabas Kirui
Miles Batty
Wesley Rutton
Solomon Haile
Elliott Heath
Lee Carey

Why just those 15? What about Fernandez, Vail, Puskedra, Bethke and a lot of other obvious names?

It looks like he is using the list from the draft that I posted on this thread:
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=3307581That list is sorted by regional finish and then time so some of the favorites (mostly from OK State) don't appear in the top 15.
why would he dnf? So could anyone dnf.

Because he DNFed last year?
That is the gamble. You want your first pick to be a ringer. Of course, this is the nature of the draft.
