I've got itbs, and I was wondering if I could use my stationary bike to cross train through it without aggravating the it band or making the problem worse.
I've heard mixed opinions on this, so I would like to know what you guys think.
Thanks

My own experience has been that cycling aggravates my itb problems. I prefer to swim when I have a flareup.
Find a PT that does Active Release Therapy. You'll be fixed instantly.
I have IBS too, just hope you don't have a white bike seat.
I've had ITBS multiple times. Don't bike on it; it definitely makes it worse. I've honestly found that running through it is the only way. It hurts terribly, and you need advil before you run, but it'll be gone in a month.
I've often taken a full week off, and when I came back it was just as bad as before.
I just got an email that
was having a $5 off cyber monday 1 day deal on the ITBS Pattstrap knee compression strap.. coupon code "Monday" good today only.
I know this cause i used it in the past and they just emailed me the code.
The strap works.. Good luck
(a) get ART ASAP, I've bad ITBS on both legs, and with ART both cases were gone within three sessions (the first time after two months of no running)
(b) biking did not bother my ITBS at all, try it and see for yourself. setting the seat a little higher may help.
