She didn't have anyone to care for her kid. She was a single mom.

And why no mention of the baby's father and his capability to care for the child? Or is that just a non-starter?

women in the army only have to have confirmed kills for 3 babies or old ladies before they are allowed to return to the state. the men have to have 10 confirmed kills. is that fair ?

That's the problem with drafting single mothers and requiring them to serve in the military.

maybe she signed up with the seemingly fair expectation that she would only be sent into harm's way for causes that are even slightly worthwhile? You know, not just some cluster f*** orchestrated by a bunch of incompetent policy makers along with the mighty military-industrial complex in the US?

That is disgusting. Women should be required to kill 10 babies or old ladies before returning to the states, like everyone else who has signed up to protect us.

If she was white the Army would have put the kid up at a classy care center. The Army is so damn racist. They still make black soldiers walk the point and tail end charlie like Nam.

You mean the Iraqi and Afghan campaigns weren't dominating the US military when this 21 year old enlisted? What, did she sign up in 1999 or 2000?

When the Soviets were in Afghanistan, if the Freedom Fighters captured one of them they would imprison and negotiate for a trade. Except mercenaries were executed on the spot.

After Abu Gharib, captured Crusaders and Zionists are raped everyday, tortured, dismembered piece by piece and healed then the next piece is cut off, until the head.

I don't know about you, but I don't want to be treated like that. I don't blame her for balking out. Only a fool would walk into that for nothing. That war is for nothing, period.

You seem to know many details of what goes on. Care to provide clarification of how you know or are these just the sorts of things you imagine go on as you whack off?

While this is a sad situation, it could and should have been avoided by the mother.

1) The (currently 21 year old and single) mother joined the Army voluntarily during a time the Army is fighting TWO wars. Gotta expect you will be deployed to a war zone.

2) Her baby is less than a year old and was born AFTER she joined the Army. Yeah - not that hard to not get pregnant.

3) The grandmother refuses to care for the baby during the mother's deployment.

4) No mention of the father anywhere but he exists.

I don't care who did or did not sign up, for the unholy war against all of humanity.

Whoever wants out of it should be able to walk away, and not be tortured or harassed for deciding not to keep killing.

To hell with the signing up "contracts", in fact they are illegal contracts, as they are contracts to perform illegal actions.

Well said...contracts are broken all the time. Why should this one be any more sacred that any other contract? The US armed forces prey upon people who are financially strapped. How many people would actually sign up for the military if it was not somehow financially sensible given their situation? Not very many.
