It snowed where I live a couple of days ago so I did my long run on the treadmill. Only when I got to the end of it, 20 miles, I wasn't tired and 6.2 miles didn't seem that much farther so I went for the 26.2 since I'd never run that far. Only when I got to around 23-24 miles did I get tired and wanted to be done, but it was by no means difficult to finish. I never got hungry and only drank about a liter of water along the way.
The incline was 1.5% and the speed improved throughout the run. Including the warmup, I did it in 2:41.
I was pretty sore the day after this but by the second day I was close to being back to normal.
In the ball park, what do you think I could have run had I done a road marathon race with race effort on this day?
Thanks!
