So, I've applied to chemistry phd programs at several schools. My grades are great, I've done tons of research (two years during school, and full time job this year), and my recommendations will be amazing (I know my profs really well and they are very familiar with my work).
The only thing I'm worried about is my GRE score. I'm taking it next month, and right now my prep is going worse than expected. If I'm being honest with myself, I can say that I will not improve much before the test. I've always been notoriously bad at non-knowledge based tests like the GRE/SAT.
How well do I need to do on the GRE to get into schools in ranked in the 10-25 range? What weight do most schools put on the GRE relative to the rest of your application?
