Did she feel scared? Threatened? How about Jenny Barringer?

At the time she ran the record, dibaba was probably going for a training run completely oblivious to who hasay is, and what went through her head the exact same moment was probably: "damn i'm good!"
Um, she never heard of Jordan Hasay.
Did she feel scared? Threatened? NO
i doubt tirunesh dibaba thinks much about jordan hasay, however her sister genzabe dibaba probably thought she is the same age as me, i guess she will be a major threat at world junior meets, and it will probably be a great rivalry between the 2 for the next 10-15 years. though who really knows they could wind up in different events, right now i think gezabe has slightly better performances than hasay, (2 world junior xc titles and a sub 15 minute 5k) but hasay has a huge advantage in publicity and expectations of greatness.
this is how i see there career best at time of retirement.
800
hasay-1:55.23
g. dibaba- never runs an 800
1500
hasay-3:53
g. dibaba-3:56
3k
hasay 8:18
g. dibaba 8:19
5k
hasay-14:03
g. dibaba-13:59
10k
hasay-29:07
g. dibaba-28:58
half marathon
hasay-1:04.20
g. dibaba-1:04.23
marathhon
hasay-2:16.22
g. dibaba-2:14.27
this promises to be a great rivalry and dont forget mercy cherono, cherono is the same age as hasay and g. dibaba and almost as good.
Thumbs-up.
I can't tell if this is a joke...
doug burke, are you smoking thai sticks, lamb's bread, or maui wowie?
A combination, possibly?
Those are pretty conservative times for Hasay. That's a bit of an insult to say that she'll only run 1:55...
yeah, because she ran 2:03 this year.
probably something like: "oooh, I bet vanilla would make these cookies taste better."

It's conservative to say she'll break or come close to every world record from 800 to marathon?
She probably thought "we have 5 high schoolers that can beat that." It was the US HS record Hasay broke, not the junior WR.
i was just having some fun really exaggerating the times.
i thought a silly question like what does tirunesh dibaba think about a girl who runs a 4:14 for 1500 on the other side of the world, she probably didnt think about it, the junior girls record for 1500 is 3:51, ethiopia has a girl the same age as hasay who ran 4:02 this year (kelkidan gezahegne).
seriously hasay can be a good runner, she has the high school record, i think she will be a multi all american in college, she may win an ncaa title or possibly several, she may even get an ncaa record on the track in a couple of years, but what i dont get is the enormous unrealistic expectations so many people seem to have her, heck a lot of posters were even saying she should skip college and go professional after high school where she would have to race the likes of t. dibaba immediately which she really is not ready for.
she should not listen to us clowns behind the computer speculating how good she may be, she should just focus on doing the best she can and being happy.
