My wife attends a private medical school in socal. She is telling me that her school is mandating that all students get the H1N1 vaccine shots. Is this legal? I figure someone on here will know more about this than myself. Any help is greatly appreciated.
They can't force her to take it, but can keep her from attending patients and class, therefore failing. Can't have one student get a bunch of people sick or spread between people. If she's not responsible enough to get it on her own, maybe she should look at a different profession. She should be worried about her patients.

It is mandatory at my school as well. It infuriates me that health care providers get upset about this. It is in our patients as well as our own best interest.

Is it legal? Perhaps. Is it right? I do not believe so. All this pushing for "safety" and "security" is what allows government to suspend our rights in order to push their agenda. I'm not claiming this to be a conspiracy, but how do we know if these vaccines are even effective? You don't think the people who make them get tons of money from selling bogus shots?
