When i won state(it was a division state and it was division 3) with a pretty good time i thought i had a shot at making top 10 at footlocker.
I felt the same as you. I cant really give you advice, it sucks
For me to win state, i was running 70-80 miles all year then when state came up i started to drop miles and peak, and i ended up running somewhere around 35 miles for state, i did good and peaked perfect, but then i had my hopes set on footlocker, but to bounce back to 60 mile weeks or stay at 35 was my problem, and then i felt horrible and did horrible at footlocker
if you are good enough to run footlocker and win state, you have to have the talent to run 70-80 miles a week, then drop down to say 60 miles a week for state, then stay at 60-70 till you drop down to 50-60 miles a week for footlocker, then a lot of speed workouts and 35-40 mile week before nationals, in hope to win
so, you are pretty much going to feel like crap, footlocker is awesome, go have fun and run, take your week off after, and enjoy indoor track season.
good luck
