So I was wondering what people thought of for basing up for spring track season. I was thinking I either do the "summer of malmo" pretty much 2 workouts a week (1 repeat fast stuff 300 and under and 1 tempo stuff). Of course when i do do these workouts I always go by feel and not time. bc time is not important during the base. Also would it be wise to start these workout immediately after my break?
Or I could do a normal base of just easy running, building up mileage with threshold and hills thrown in the mix.
I'm more of a strength runner so I think incorporating the summer of malmo stuff into my training will benefit me more. My goal is faster times across 800-5k.
