for the last few weeks i've been experiencing some slight pain in the outside of my reght foot. It only hurts during the middle miles of (some of) my runs, more so when i run on harder surfaces, and usually comes and goes. My first thought was "crap, i'm getting a stress fracture" but it doesn't have a lot of the signs of a stress fracture. i can jump on it without pain and when i press down on it there's no pain unless i just finished a run, then pressing down causes slight discomfort but nothing serious. Also, i don't think my mileage would cause a stress fracture, it's been mid 40's all season, with about half on grass/trails, and i ran mid 50's all summer on asphalt with no problems. I just ran in my state meet, and did ok considering how disappointing the rest of the season was, i was severely anemic (hemoglobin of 9)last year and my hemoglobin dropped down again to 11 at the beginning of this year and i never got back to 100% but was fairely happy with the way i finished my season. Now i want to build up my mileage to high 60's/low 70's for track, but i don;t want to screw up my foot.
