mine was ok. just felt a little off the whole time, percieved effort was much harder than I was actually running.
Yes - smooth six miler at dawn.
30mph winds this morning so I'll postpone to this afternoon. Maybe ride the rollers this morning though...
i did too. 90 minutes in forest preserve. 45 F. saw 4 deer. all the dog walkers were polite and controlled their dogs. i was in that sweet zone between 35 and 55 minutes where i was "flying"@ HM effort. The last 15 minutes reminded me i was not in shape to be going for a 90 min run. Just got showered and into warm sweats. Football is on. what an awesome day.
yes nice 8 miler with some strides at end.
Harder than I thought it should have been, but it was such a beautiful day it didn't matter. Days like this make me realize how lucky I am to be a runner. 3 miles out I startled a fawn and we both just froze. 10 feet away and it tilted it's head just curious and seemed relaxed. I talked to it for a couple minutes before slowly walking away so I didn't startle it. It took a few steps around the tree to see where I was going but didn't follow. Really made me smile and made the rest of my run better. What a great day.

queer
Longest run of the year this morning: 18 miles @ 8:28 (about 2:33), with the last 5 @ 7:40. I'm pointing towards a goal half marathon (St. Jude / Memphis) three weeks from today. I'd run 17, 16, and many 15s in the past few months, but I feel better heading into a HM with one 18-miler under my belt. This regimen helped me PR in the race last year.
The cotton harvesters have swept through the fields around here, so there were little tufts of cotton in the grass.
What time do you think you can run for the half?
Nope, first day off.
i also really liked the fawn story...thought it was interesting. however, i liked the queer comment even more...hilarious.
