somebodies gonna be pissed
who wants to buy my bib? Im putting it on ebay tomorrow.
Non transferrable, instant DQs. You will be busted.
Is this early for Boston to close?
Has Boston ever changed their qualifying times?
It's only closed for joggers.

I presume that changing the qualifying times will do little to change things because if my memory serves me correctly I read that half of the entrants are non-qualifiers (charity, sponsors, etc.). My wife has a coworker (male, 34-yr old 4:00+ marathoner) that proudly dispays his Boston Maraton finish picture in his office.
Göteborgsvarvet closed a month ago already with 54,000 entrants. It's the world's largest running race. It's run in May 22.
anyone know if this is a final list? i submitted an hour after i finished ny. hope they are still processing what they have.
do they process what they already have? chicago, nyc, obx, raleigh?
If they took your application then you're probably in. The race closes at about 20,000, but it takes time for the staff to process the applications. I'd be shocked if they rejected you.
If you haven't gotten the confirmation e-mail yet, don't panic. The race office just had 20,000 applications put on its lap in about 2 months (which is a lot shorter than their usual 6 months) and every one of those applications needs to have the qualifying times checked and confirmed. That takes time.
You can always call the registration office in Hopkinton. They are very helpful there.
I registered on their website last Sat. and it was confirmed on Mon. Approx. 16,000 confirmed entries were showing at that time.
Boston Walk-a-thon - who cares.
Well that sucks...
More skiing/less running for me this winter I guess.
I've done over 20 different marathons on four continents and the Boston course remains the toughest. It's only a walk-a-thon if you're the walker, kid.

You obviously haven't run Big Sur yet.

Dunno. But Big Sur is harder than Boston, fer sure. Hurricane Point takes it out of you.
There are a ton of courses more challenging than Boston, Big Sur included. But of all the "big name" marathons, it might be one of the toughest. But I think NY might be harder. I've run both several times and personally have run much better at Boston every time.
