I tore my medial meniscus late July white-water rafting. It sucked for the next 10 days, then it either mostly went away or I became accustomed to it - not really sure which to be honest.
The surgeon told me I need a scope, but there's no rush, so if I would like to enoy the warm weather of the summer/fall, by all means do so and schedule when I'm ready. I took his advice, and have it scheduled next Friday.
I don't run like most of you. I jog about 6-8 miles, 3 days a week. I'm in decent shape and have no other medical problems.
Any ideas on how long to recover to where I can jog normally again? What about other things I like to do (bowling, golf, swimming, cycling)?
