What teams/indivduals do you think will qualify for nationals from regionals at Franklin Park in Boston?
On the men's side it looks like a 3 way battle between Syracuse, Providence, and Iona.

Well last year Syracuse finished 5th behind Columbia and Dartmouth so last year was the last time it wasn't between Iona Providence and Syracuse.
Iona and Syracuse should get the auto qualifiers and if Providence runs like they did at Big East Columbia has a legitimate chance at beating them.
Iona
Syracuse
Columbia
Providence
Binghamton
Brown
Cornell
what a weak region.
how so?
guarantee iona does not win this region
It's the first year this region could get three teams to nationals in a while. So it is a weak region, but this year is looking stronger than previous years
individuals?
Anybody have women's and men's start times?
Providence
Iona
Columbia

Actually, Dartmouth auto'd in 2005- not that long ago. Cuse has only been a player on the scene for the past few years, before 06 or so they never made nationals....
very well thoughout [sic]....
that thick mother f***er van ingen!

This isn't Heps, Ryan Sheridan is going to destroy those Ivy League Runners. Chenoweth is the only one that will be remotely close.
Sheridan will win and Iona will win overall...end of topic.
Teams:
1. Syracuse-Too deep. Dupont had an epic Big East meet; on any given day they could have a new team leader (Miller, Graves, Dupont, Medrano).
2. Iona-Strong up front with Sheridan but it seems like their guys in the middle are a little softer than Syracuse.
3. Providence-They always make it; and they are just a tad bit above Columbia...but I'm not counting Columbia out.
My thoughts on individuals are Brenden Martin, Erik van Ingen, Dan Chenoweth, and Christian Escareno.
Dark Horse: Merber
Check the Pre-Nats results, if you plug in Prial from CU in the open race (24:55), then they beat Iona. Cuse, Columbia, Iona. There we have it.
David McCarthy has run 13:42 and was 19th in 08. HE is the favorite going into sat. Chenoweth has improved over the course of the season and just missed out on All-America in 07. It should be an exciting team and individual battle! :D
providence will step it up...
5. 218 Iona (24:24.8 122:04.0)

6 ( 87) 535 Josh Hibbs 24:59.4

6 (134) 274 Bobby Hartnett 25:32.5
7 (154) 281 Leighton Spencer 25:45.6
How exactly do they beat Iona moron? Even if you put Prial in there Iona STILL has 3 guys in front of Columbia's number 1!!!! Iona would have had 6 guys in front of Columbia's number 5 with Prial.
I don't know. They have been crap lately and I don't just mean this cross season. They seem to bring in the recruits but they haven't been much of a force since the Fagan days. They usually pull it together by conference but they were FIFTH. Thats got to be their worst finishes in a long while. Mcarthy has supposedly been sick or injured so I"ll cut him some slack. But it doesn't mean he is going to turn out a win either. Lately BU has been Providence College's only true friend.
