What times for 800-3200 would I have to run to get scholarship money to the university of Oregon? 10-40%? 40-80%? Full ride? |

4:15, 1:55 to be considered. Depends on alot of things, like how much you've improved, how good your coach is, mileage, etc. |

Vin offered me less than 10% - I had a junior yr ~4:15, ~9:10 and that weekend was top 10 at Footlockers (in the last yr all the best ran at FL). And that was before Oregon really took off |

I would run at Oregon for books only, even if I had run 1:49, just because of the rich tradition and a chance to be on a Championship team |

You are a wise one, indeed. To get a full ride at Oregon, you would have to....well, nevermind, it won't happend. To get 40%, you have to be very good. Don't expect more than 40%, even if you are very, very good (1:50; 4:08). Running for a championship team, surrounded by the best coaching and athletes and tradition trumps the money. Best advice is to try to get books and find yourself lucky indeed to get anything more than that. |
