why does Texas have such a high ranking? They really haven't played anyone except for Oklahoma who turned out to have a crappy year. People complain about boise state not playing anyone legit yet Texas gets away with Oklahoma. And Florida has only played one top ranked team in LSU. SO lets see here who is better between these teams RIGHT NOW Oregon LSU Oklahoma let the fireworks go off now |

I'm not a fan of the BCS polls. I wish they would move to a plus-one championship game after the New Year's Day bowls and then eventually to a playoff. But for now, the BCS polls don't matter because there is still too much football left to play. Either Alabama or Florida or going to get knocked off or one will knock off the other (essentially, a mini-playoff). The only BCS poll that matter is the last one. There is still a lot of football to play. And why would you think Oregon, LSU and Oklahoma with their losses are better than the undefeated teams? It doesn't matter if you "think" they are better, they obviously weren't for one or two games. |

The playoff system is even more relevant this year than most. If Florida or Alabama do finish undefeated along with Texas, they will invariably play one another for the Title. But when you have teams like Boise State, TCU, and Cincinnati also likely to go undefeated, with quality wins, and not getting tested nearly as much as the 3 aforementioned favorites have, who is to say they don't deserve a shot? Alabama struggled to pull out a win over Tennessee, Florida has looked shaky all year, and Texas looked awful against Colorado. On top of that, a one-loss Oregon team is playing the best football in the country right now, and there is no doubt they would be dangerous in a playoff format. |

I would love to see a boise state vs oregon game in Autzen after the bowl games to see if Oregon is really as good as they say. |

Florida and Alabama, if go undefeated, will meet in the SEC championship game. rendering one of them winless and thus out of the BCS championship game. |

Most of us have spent our fireworks over the past 10 years. It is sad and unfair, but it is plainly obvious BSU's of the world will never get to play for the title under the current system. The system isn't about fair or pleasing the fans, it's about excluding outsiders from the money. BSU is an outsider. It won't matter if Florida, Texas, Alabama, Iowa, and Cincy all lose. The BCS/NCAA still would find a way to keep BSU and TCU from playing for the title. A one loss Oregon, if they continued their current tear would likely get in over undefeated BSU. It sucks. We all hate it, but that's reality. |

I'm not a fan of the BCS at all, but let's face it, your average 2nd rate midwest high school would pound Boise State into the ground. The fact Boise State is even listed is proof the BCS is a crock. |

The marketing dept takes over college fb every December. TV Ad Sales rule their seedings. Don't try to make any sense out of what they do. It's not football anymore, just the bottom line. |

So Boise, TCU and Cincy are undefeated. Big deal, Auburn with a better team in 2005 and got shafted. It is the luck of the BCS draw. If you don't believe that Auburn was a better team, how many future NFL stars are playing for any of those 3?? |

Bad arguement. If you are implying that smaller or less famous schools don't produce NFL stars, you are wrong. Walter Payton and Jerry Rice were from smaller or less famous schools than even Boise State, TCU and Cincy. And the list of NFL stars from smaller schools does not stop here. |
