You're thinking of "The Americas." America is a synonym for the U.S. The answer to the OP is that he will be considered American by the same majority of good people who think of "American" as meaning "American Citizen" or, perhaps, "person who lives in America and considers themselves American." People who want to protect the term American for people with histories and appearances more like their own will mostly think of him as Spanish. |

This is a silly question of course german would not be considered a "true" american. Have you paid any attention here post Meb? It's not what you legally are or where trained or where your raise your own flesh and blood. It is simply your genetics as evidenced by the way you look. German may be closer to Salazar though because to a redneck he might not look as foreign and dangerous as a Meb. |
