I was a state trooper for 9 years (it got old), and I can tell you this happens much more often then you'd think.
There was a case in VA where an old woman hit 5 cyclist, then put it in reverse and hit them again. She ended up dying in prison.

Another example was when a delivery truck drove past a female cyclist fast, and close, enough that it's air-disturbance knocked the woman off her bike.
She sued and got a settlement for 4.2 million..

I think all this shows everyone should be a little more careful with their emotions, and their driving in general, around cyclist. Like it, or not.
