i graduated from tosa west and ran track/xc there so this caught my eye...wow. i've run the lamplighter route plenty of times, and it's generally seemed like a safe/quiet residential neighborhood, i guess you never can tell though. i'm glad no one was seriously injured. racially motivated or not, there's no excuse for being an ass, especially to a few high school kids who are just trying to get a run in. pathetic.
Wow... unsettling. My mom used to live in east 'Tosa and Lamplighter would be part of some of my long marathon-training runs. Poor young men and stupid-&^% racist jerks who aren't doing anything to diminish the Wisconisn racist-hick stereotype.
