kenny klotz ran huge. thought he was washed up, but came out huge today
Puskedra is making the transition quite well.
I wonder what brought about the change from two weeks ago.
Very impressive performance by NAU's top two runners. W&M looks strong too.

I guess we'll find out; I heard he wasn't feeling 100% a few weeks ago...

Anyone who thinks Oregon winning is an upset really isn't paying attention or just doesn't get cross country.

Making what transition well?? Did you miss all of last year?

Maybe the transition from Frosh to Soph, not hitting the Soph jinx.

Let's see, you are ranked #7, and you beat the # 2 and #3 teams in the nation.
Yeah, you were favored.
NCAA Pre-National Race Videos and Photos are up! http://www.runnerspace.com/PreNationals-D1
In xc, there is a senior (hs) to freshman (college) transition that usually (not in Puskedra or Derrick or Ferndandez) results in underperformances, but there is usually no sophomore jinx, because most runners get accustomed to the harder training as freshmen and perform far above their freshmen levels in xc. Lowe is now doing very well and Puskedra and particularly Derrick are showing that they are contenders for the crown this year.
Runnerspace got all 4 vids up sooner than flotrack, but your vid sucks. The sound is terrible and seems to be off from the picture, at least in the men's white race, and all we can hear is wind. There's no commentary. The view is from the fence, with some shots of just spectators standing around waiting for the runners to come by. Flotrack got the lead vehicle ride, has live commentary at some points, and edited commentary after.
Flotrack >> runnerspace
again

Yes, Mrr82 is correct. JR once again shows he's a complete idiot. Puskedra is already one of the best in the NCAA and made a great transition last year. JR is just a tool who never knows what he is talking about. People made too big a deal out of his first race. Then there is the fact that it's not like he ran 2320 in this race. His race was much less competitive, so it's unknown really how ready he is, but i'm sure he'll bring it by seasons end.
I haven't seen theirs, but we are doing our best with help from other to cover meets, it's a community effort. We are two very different sites with different focuses.
Runnerspace, you guys kick butt, dont be sorry. I don't know why we have to rip on one or the other of these sites. We are fortunate to have two great running websites that film a large majority of the xc and track meets in this country, and i for one appreciate them both. Flotrack was able to get the lead vehicle for pre-nats, and runnerspace wasn't. I won't comment any further on that cause i dont know how that works, and who decides what. However, runnerspace's live coverage of the USATF last year was better than Flotracks. Who cares who's better, they both do a great service to track and xc fans who enjoy their video content, results, pics, etc.

That was a very gracious response.
We all know it can be frustrating watching things that aren't of high quality, but often we forget that just having that luxury is something people like you are providing for us, that we didn't use to have. You get something new and exciting, and everyone naturally wants more and wants it better, and demands it the way they want it. It's a tough crowd to please.
Where is that thread about the Oregon men are crap and dead without Rupp? I asked everyone not to piss off the Oregon men cause they would turn it up a notch and beat my team. You pissed them off. Even with Centro and A.J. not running well they still shoved the race up our glutes. Puskedra sucks....YEA RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surely you can think more clearly than your post indicates. Someone claiming this was not an upset is obviously claiming that the rankings having the Ducks at #7 are WAY off.
Hello?!? Do you get it now? Because apparently this was too much of a leap in logic for you earlier.
Once again, as I've said on these world famous message boards multiple times:
#1 favorite is still OK St. by a non-trivial margin
#2, 3 are Oregon and Stanford
#4 is NAU
The ONLY team that Oregon can beat and have the win be reasonably called a non-trivial upset is Ok St at full strength. A win over Stanford could be considered a mild upset.
So...Anyone who thinks Oregon winning is an upset really isn't paying attention or just doesn't get cross country.
Which is it for you?
Basically I was f***ing with y'all cos of those that were celebrating the ducks dip in the polls, and LR doing the same on the front page.
