York sat out their top 4 (Driggs, Smith, Schact, and Cecil), and their 5-8 ran 15:12, 15:19, 15:22, 15:23, which is about what was expected, and shows that they are the deepest team in the state through 7 (though Neuqua is close).
Loyola did run great though, and showed that they have the best top 3 in the state (14:35, 14:42, 14:45), a very good 4 (15:05), and a 5 (15:39) that, though below average for a team of their caliber isn't far enough back to really kill them. Based on this race and Woodruff, Loyola looks to be very even with Neuqua, though both are probably a little back of York. Things will get a little clearer when York runs a full varsity squad at Palatine.
