I have a teacher who used to coach high school xc in Illinois, and he said he coached a guy that became the 3 mile xc state champ. I think his time was roughly 14:2?, and he went to a high school with a name similiar to "Illiard" or "Hilliard." Does anybody know the name of this guy?

I didn't see him. Unless he lied to you. Which is possible, (Just a funny story i'd like to share) I moved schools and my mom took over a job in a small town. The girls coach their told a gazillion lies about how great of a basketball/baseball player he was. Well no one knew the truth so they beleived them, i mean come on he lived far away from home no one would find out right? Wrong, turns out he went to school with my mom. She said he had a red ginger fro and never got off the bench lol.
Best story he told them was he broke every bone in his body! He got in a freaking tank wreck while he was in the army. Tank hit a landmine and BOOM! Flipped his tank and he broke everybone in his body! That's effing intense. lol.
How long ago was this? The closest possibility based on school name looks like the small school champ in 200 & 2001, Paul Jellema from Illiana Christian.
