Has anyone else noticed that when you go back through the message board's posts, it stops at the 9th Sept on P.2 and then on Page 3 it jumps back 2 weeks to the 21st August!? Does anyone know why all threads from 21.8 to 9.9 are missing? |

I've been wondering that for a few weeks now. Thought maybe it was just me since nobody had commented on it. |

I can't figure it out either. |

I always thought it was some aggressive chacheing from the WC still in place. |

Speaking of weird behaviour: Do you also get strange results when you click inside a thread on links to other threads in this forum? A few minutes ago the thread titles "A question for runners from the 60's-70's era" was bumped by a reply. Its link has the id 3207331 as a parameter. The thread contains a link to a thread "ARTHUR LYDIARD SHOES", with the id 2793000. When I click it, I get - a page title in the browser window "ARTHUR LYDIARD SHOES", 2 pages in the navigation, but the thread content of the referring thread: It reads "A question for runners from the 60's-70's era 9/9/2009 2:24PM" with the same posts as where I came from. I have to click on to page 2 and back to page 1 to get the "real" thread content. |

I experimented a bit with my cookie settings and it does not change the behaviour. Supect some wrong session handling now, as I see a PHPSESSID reference cookie from letsrun.com Probably this old forum software was modified to handle the WC traffic and someone messed up with $_GET and the referrer string? Like when the referring server is letsrun.com the session is not updated properly with new $_GET (god forbid!) thread id, and then the post content gets pulled in with an (old) $_SESSION-thread id? |

(Caveat: I am only a hobbyist web programmer, so I feel qualified to speculate about logical errors! *g*) The funny effect is: Not only did the database server (known bottleneck with this forum, we saw many could-not-connect-to-database-errors) _less_ load, but the links-inside-threads glitch issues at least _one additional_ request to the DB! *G* (correct title-tag, wrong content). |

Yeah, that has been bothering me for a few weeks. I figured it was something with my firefox settings. |

*lol* Now I will start a thread with the title "brojos/admin please read this" containing a link to _this_ thread! What a pity they will not arrive here... ;) |

The DOJ collected them as evidence in a libel suit against the LRC posters. Subpoenas to follow... |

Ah, of course, if you click twice the intra-forum-link you will also arrive at the expected content. (Which is in line with the $_GET/$_SESSION theory). |

There are a few weird things that happen as you go back through the pages of the board. One thing that I've noticed is that threads will show up on multiple pages. I'll occasionally click through to find an old thread and notice that a thread I was just looking at on the first page is also on the third or fourth page. |

200m from lane 8 appears on page 1 AND 3 clicking from pg 3 contains todays content also. P.S. --one word only search function sucks too |

Well, a proper search function is _really_ hard to code, admittedly. Better to use Google with 'site:' and 'inurl:' like http://www.google.de/search?q=site:letsrun.com+inurl:forum+pictureperfect& |

Yep! I've found that too. Also noticed a link on the home page (Bekele runs last 100m in 11.6! - which I don't believe for 1 minute btw) to a message board thread, which when clicked, goes to a blank page with the LR logo!? Sometimes some books or some trainers appear on the blank page also. |
