"Semenya is, I believe, truly innocent of any wrong-doing. That said, it seems clear that she is in fact a genetic and anatomic male with some form of AIS. "He" therefore should not be allowed to compete against women."
In order for her to compete as a "female" she has to be 100% female, IAAF rule. That means normal female levels of testosterone and female sexual organs (not testes). If she is 80% female is that enough? And it matters not that she was raised as a girl. Anatomically she is mostly a male.
Sorry, PanAfrican et al. I fully sympathize with Caster's situation and believe she is innocent of any wrongdoing as she had handlers who pushed her into international athletics. Unfortunately there are rules in place to protect the sport and it appears that Caster is anatomically unable to compete as a female, regardless of what "gender" she feels she belongs to.
The ASA can claim rascism all they want but this is a smokescreen to cover up their deceit at placing Caster in a female 800m race in the first place. The rascism claim is a joke as there were many, many medal winners in this year's championship from Africa and many more of African descent. Ask Usain Bolt and Bekele if they were discriminated against because of race!
