I overtrained my body pretty bad this past year. It's gotten to the point where my whole body has kind of slowed down. My pulse is actually really low now too. When I was in really good shape it never dropped below 52 and recently I've recorded it at 48 and I just feel sluggish and awful when I run, so I've decided to bag this XC season and call it quits for a while. But I still want to run track this spring.
I recently took three weeks off and ran about 25 minutes every day and felt fine for a couple of weeks and this week I've kind of relapsed and started feeling the way I did.
I've now given up on this XC season, but how do I know when I'm okay to run again?
