Was a sprinter for 3 years, and now switching to middle distance training.
Up until August of this year, my stats were: 6 ft, and anywhere from 195 to 205 with 7.8% bf last time it was checked.
Not great speed, but am positive I am suited for longer distances, despite my size.
pbs are:
100 = 12:03
200 - 24:66
400 = 53.97
800 - 2:11 with no 800 training
5k = 20:26, no training
I knew coming up to the end of this years' season that I would be switching to 400/800 meter training, and since August have been slowly bumping milage weekly to prepare for the upcoming season.
I've already lost considerable weight, weighing in yesterday at 182.5 and thought it would be kinda cool to document my progress and ask if anybody else has ever gone from one form of training to another with success?
