Hello all. I am a 31 year old former college sprinter. I ran the 5th Avenue Mile in NYC last year and placed pretty high in my age group and ran 4:56. I'd like to try to break 4:50 this year and I need your help.
The race is on September 26 so I am hoping some of you can give me some tips on some last minute workouts or things I should focus on to maximize my performance. My sense is its too late to worry about my base and now I should just be focusing on speed.
Some more background. I'm 6'1", about 195 and I probably only put in about 15-20 miles per week and focus very heavily on weight training.
